Since launching a year ago, the Homeowner’s Helper recently served its 200 homeowners with qualified home improvement contractors for free.
Founded by Tony Messuri, the Homeowner’s Helper is a free home improvement referral service offering homeowners access to contractors for many of their home improvement needs. The company frequently continues to add pre-screened, qualified, licensed contractors to its network in order to meet increased consumer demand in Allen and surrounding counties.
“What sets us apart from our competition — and has allowed us to flourish — is that our contractors go through a rigorous screening process,” said Messuri. “The mandatory process includes face-to-face interviews, reference checks and license and insurance verifications. Contractors do not pay us fees to instantly become a member of our network like other sites. Homeowners can be confident that our pre-screened contractors will provide them with the best quality services.”
In addition, prior to being added to the Homeowner’s Helper network, each contractor’s status with the Better Business Bureau and Indiana Attorney General is verified to ensure that they are in good standing.
Network contractors include painters, roofers, remodelers, handymen, landscape designers, lawncare services, plumbers, concrete workers, deck and fence builders, tree trimmers, electrical experts and more.
The free referral service is initiated by visiting thehomeownershelper.com and selecting the job request link. Once the form is submitted, qualified contractors will contact the homeowner to discuss the project and provide a quote—usually within only one business day.
If discussing home needs over the phone is the preferred method, homeowners can call 676-2032 and provide the relevant information. They will then receive bids and quotes directly from the contractor, also usually within one business day of the job request.
